BLOOM is a 176 billion parameter open-access multilingual language model trained by the BigScience collaboration of over a thousand researchers. It covers 46 natural languages and 13 programming languages and was one of the first truly open large language models, with detailed public training logs and a transformer architecture based on a GPT-style design. Released under the BigScience RAIL license.
