About
Kotaemon by Cinnamon is an open-source retrieval-augmented generation UI for question answering over your own documents, built for both end users and developers. It offers a clean web interface, works with multiple LLM providers, supports multi-modal and hybrid retrieval, and can be extended into a custom RAG pipeline. It installs locally or via Docker and uses Unstructured to parse formats beyond PDF, HTML, and spreadsheets. Apache 2.0 licensed.
