About
GPT4All by Nomic AI runs large language models privately on ordinary desktops and laptops without API calls or a GPU, and its LocalDocs feature adds retrieval over your own files. You point it at PDFs and text documents, it indexes them locally, and the local model answers questions grounded in that content, so nothing leaves the machine. Builds are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Released under the MIT license.
