DALL-E Mini, later renamed Craiyon, is an open-source text-to-image model that helped popularize AI image generation with its accessible web demo. It pairs a BART-style sequence model with a VQGAN image decoder, a simpler architecture than diffusion that runs on CPU or GPU. The repository provides training and inference notebooks and hyperparameter sweep tooling. Released under the Apache 2.0 license.
