PuppyOne
Local-first desktop editor that runs terminal coding agents on your project files with Git-backed history.
About
Think of this as a desktop editor designed on the assumption that coding agents will be changing your files alongside you. The Electron app opens ordinary local folders to view or edit Markdown, HTML, CSV, JSON, Office documents, PDFs, media and 3D models, while a terminal panel hosts agent CLIs like OpenCode, Codex, Cursor or Claude Code so they work on the project you have open. Local Git underneath means every agent edit shows up as a diff you can roll back. Installers cover Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows, plus an npm launcher. Your files stay on disk unless you opt into PuppyOne Cloud, a hosted tier with free and paid plans that adds backup, shared projects and agent access over MCP that stays reachable when your laptop is off; its server is a separate Apache-2.0 repository you can self-host with Docker. The desktop code is Apache-2.0 too, minus the trademarked name and logo, and stable builds send minimal pseudonymous usage counts unless you disable them. Still pre-1.0, it suits people already using terminal agents who want files and history in one place.
